Hi - any of you P1i enthusiasts found anything worthwhile upgrading from the P1i?
I've been vaguely keeping my eyes open - but nothing has really grabbed me as yet
What have you got and why?

P990i !
Although I am half serious, I am in the same boat as you. I will probably get another P990 until somebody makes vertical qwerty with vertical screen orientation... (P1's design just don't do anything for me...)
Only other choice would be Moto Milestone, but maybe MWC will bring few suprises... |

The p990 has the best qwerty keyboard, i could type even quicker on my p990 than i could on the pc, i also had the same problem what to upgrade to after my p1, i wanted a s60 with a qwerty again i went for nokia n97 it has replaced my p1 reasonable well, Web browsing is 10x times, navigation is 10x better, it's just as easy to use as my old p1 was, on the down side the music & video players and avaible music & video players, are no where near as good as walkman 3 & coreplayer that was on my p1, also the built-in stereo speakers are pretty much useless the loudspeaker on the p1 was twice as loud and powerful, while the sound quality in the headsets is much better than the p1 the poor volume level makes it pretty useless again. The p1 was very realible mine hardly even crashed and always booted no problems where my new n97 very often gets stuck on the bootscreen due to rubbish firmware and has loads of other annoying bugs where the p1 had none. While the n97 comes close to being a good replacement due to it's crappy firmware i recommend you completly avoid it and avoid anything nokia at all costs.

I am also on the same boat as you arvinlad... My eyes are on SE's rumored side sliding QWERTY high-end Android device or SE's Kanna which is also side sliding qwerty... |

Still using my P1i. There have been some great phones released. Nothing as of yet has really grabbed my attention. Hopefully this year, I will find something I will finally like

I still think the Nokia N900 is a good preplacement for the aging P1i. The N900 is a great multitasker and as hackable as the P1i is.

I am still waiting for a REAL P1 successor though my hopes of it coming from SE are now fading fast. I tried replacing it with a Blackberry Bold 9700 but in two weeks I had had enough of the BB and am still using my favourite phone the P1.
I'm not into slide out QWERTY keypads so the N900, X2, Milestone and the like won't do for me.
