I REQUEST THE HELP OF ALL THE MODDERS AND ALL WISE GUYS HERE....
Hi as the title says, does anyone knows a method for reducing the grainy pics captured by k850i.?
Can it be done by reducing the sharpness..? I have seen pics with my n82 much smoother and vivid colors,
and overall LESS THAN 1.5 mb in size...!!!
How is that possible..?
Here we have two 5 mp cameras, both takes the same pics, but the picture with smaller file size is better than
with higher one...
Is it the amount of grains/distortion the reason for more 'mb' in pics with k850i..?
Is there any way to take a pic with less than 10% grains..?

there is no way to reduce grain. its a firmware (post processing) and camera module issue. SE and NOKIA use their own image processing methods. you can see photos taken with N95,N73,N82 looks more vivid than photos taken with K800/810/850.

If you used flash, most photos take smooth.

search for better cam drivers.. sometimes you will find better one.

Tried most of them available on the net.. Also decreasing the sharpness in the cam driver didn't help..
as a result i think the stock drivers gives lesser grains...

K850 might pick higher ISO where as N82 selects lower ISO, Higher ISO = Higher grain,
so try to use a cam driver with manual ISO, anyways SE phones produce much natural colors than Nokias despite Nokia colors are vivid (Unnatural)
just my 2 cents

I am sorry for Singlish. I am from Veyangoda. This is the best web site for SE users. Second one is se-nse. I love you Esato. If there was not this it's one and half year which I have sold my k850i. There were many problems with k850i. But now this is a stable phone. I think NAVER should have asked before devolop WITCHKING's driver. Please come again Witchking and make driver which manual shutter speed with non flash mode. I am with 7.7v. Hello Sri Lanka guys I am happiness with see you. Waht are you think about SE. I think we should not buy SE mobiles once they put in to market there mobiles. Atleast we should wait one year because their early situation. What is your next stand. I think it will be Android. Also Satio is good but I don't think that it's ok untill now. I am free browsing. I think it will find our guys. Try with opera + mobitel. But couldn't streming than twenty seconds. I love also mobitel connection. Before few monts it was can free emailing(sent/receive). Now they have stoped it. But we can free television streming with mobitel. I think it's only for SE. Still improving mobitel systems. I think we can't get free internet everyday. They will fix it. Now Opera 5.2 is better for that.

Naver I am sory. I didn't think to hurt you. Although If there is a modder or devoloper which can make a cam driver with Off flash manual shutter, please do it. Again NAVER, I am sorry. Your perseverance is great.

NO what i stated was, a pic taken with n82 (5mp) comes only near to less than 1mb (900 ~ 1200 kb) normally.
That file size is still less than what is taken using k850i.. (1.5mb ~ 2.5mb).
But still the latter (n82) gives good results.. the pics are smooth..
So i mean to say that there is no importance with the size of the picture.. only the way the camera or firmware processing matters...
But as posted above, i think it may be due to the post-processing of the n82.
what do you think..?
