Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me? I have a T68 which I have upgraded to a T68i, as well as a software upgrade I have added original T68i faceplate, battery, aerial cover and keypad.

Now I have this I still have the old T68 silver colour running down the sides of the phone, not a problem, but does make the phone look a little off colour.

I have found an original T68i chassis to buy and I read on here a while back that the aerial is stuck to the chassis of the phone? Will this be a problem which means I can't change that part?

What I am wondering is can I perform this change over of the old silver middle part to the new T68i coloured middle part without wrecking my phone? My phone is out of warranty as it is second hand and the local service centre have said changing that part is illegal?

Any help would be much appreciated and if so how would I go about changing it over?

Thanks

here is what I wrote about changing backcover a while back

you can't just take the antenna off... the glue will be left on the backcover... might work if you heat it up... but this will probably damage the antenna (haven't tried it though since it's much more easy to just put a new antenna on when changing back cover )...

and then there is the label.... you just can't take it off, to remove it you need warm air to heaten the glue so it come loose... but be careful...
