MemoryStick DUO 64MB available in Sweden |

Since there has been a lot of discussion about extra memory for the P800, I just thought I would let everyone know that I spotted today that the Sony MemoryStock DUO 64MB is available here in Sweden (and so I would assume in other places in Europe also). The price is not cheap at 994 SEK (around $100 or £70).
Found the information here at Dustin (very good computer and electronics mail order company here in Sweden)...

The web site says that they don't have them in stock so I don't know how long it would take to get hold of one if ordered.
I've had my P800 since last Saturday and I guess you could call me a gadget freak and a power user and I have to say that I am very impressed and not really disappointed with anything. I am syncing with Lotus Notes on my office laptop (Win2K) via infrared and with Outlook on my home PC (WinXP Home Ed.) via USB with no problems at all. I am looking forward to more freeware, shareware and commercial apps. being available, this should happen in time. Maybe the only downside (and this is not really a big criticism) is the size of the P800. Its perfect for working in the office, but a bit big to carry to the pub in the evening, so I'll bee keeping my T68i for this (syncing address books via BT from P800 to T68i was a breeze by the way). Like I said the size issue is not really a criticism as I don't think the P800 could operate effectively as a PDA if the screen was not as large as it is and so I don't think it really can be much smaller (that's why I'm keeping the T68i for leisure use). I might write a fuller review if I have time. This post is getting a bit big so I'll leave it there.

lol that a good way to handle the size issue of the P800. Most people have a 2nd phone. Nice one |

Just to followup on my own message earlier...
Dustin also sell the P800 itself...

If you scroll to the bottom of this page you cal also see all the accessories you can get for it including the MemoryStick DUO 64MB and a spare battery 518 SEK (around $50 or £37), plus various BT headsets car kits etc..
(If you're thinking the prices I quoted aren't right then that's because the page defaults to showing the prices excluding VAT. The prices I quoted are including VAT. VAT is 25% in Sweden)

So.... This site you're reffering to says that they don't have it in stock right now....-that's a very common line for web-shops. It doesn't mean that they've ever had it or even expect it any time soon.
Therefore this topic is very misleading since the 64 MS DUO is in fact NOT AVAILABLE.

I think that's a bit harsh Raven.
This store is not a small web shop. It is a massive warehouse and supplies lots of independent computer stores here in Sweden. I have never ordered from them over the web since there is a computer store where I live that is supplied by Dustin and if I buy the stuff in the computer store there are no delivery charges, even if they have to order the stuff from Dustin. Whenever I have bought something that needed to be ordered from Dustin it was delivered to the computer store the next day. I really believe that if Dustin have the MemoryStick DUO 64MB in their price list that they are confident that they can supply it, otherwise they would not have included it.
Email them and ask them how long it would take, I'm sure they will answer. Like I said they are very good.
(I am in no way connected to Dustin, just a happy customer!)

@Dickhead, You have wasted everyones time saying the 64 Duo is "AVAILABLE" in your post,& to add insult to injury used the opportunity to talk about yourself.
PLEASE STOP WASTING OUR TIME !.
By the way i`m currently offering the 128mb Duo at £180 incl p&p this is available imediatly(they come in), please send the money & when (if i get them) they arrive i`ll let you know if a price adjustment is needed. NO OFFENCE !

Sorry to have pissed you off so much Tony!
I don't think I wasted anyones time. The 64MB DUO is available and can be ordered.
Regarding talking about myself, have you read many of the posts in here? A large percentage are all "I did this", "my phone is like this", "My girlfriends phone..." etc. Lots of people talk about themselves, this is what tends to happen in a forum and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
You must be great fun at parties or in the pub if all you spout is facts all the time and never talk about yourself or your experiences. |

so does "Ej i lager" means in stock or not in stock (and hence unavailable)? its been a while since I worked in Stockholm so can't remember much Swedish any more.
If it means not in stock any clues on the page as to when it will be available?

Ej i lager = Not in stock
(Ej = No, Not i = in lager = stock)
And no other info. at the pages when it will be available :=(
Anyone from Malaysia (KL) who knows any electronic stores that maybe will sell MS DUO when I´m there at vacation ~22 feb? |
