Thinking of getting my mum a c903 is it any good? She just wants a basic good slide phone and she is liking this one. Can anyone tell me if they had any major issues with this phone? If so what ones?
Thanks

Well i was thinking of getting one myself as they are now 99 in Phones4U. I have not seen many people talk of them on here but the camera is good its the same as c902. Also not sure about reliability though i did read some forums of the phone freezing or crashing but that could be just early firmware. I believe its of good quality although the build is a little too plastic. Not sure of much more. Edit. I did play with a live one in a store the screen was lovely and camera good build not bad.

Thanks for replies all. It's either the c903 or nokia 6600. She will be upgrading today and they are the two choices of handsets. I need it to be reliable and not just randomly freeze or crash out on her. What about the 6600 is that stable? |

For Basic functionality S40 seems to be VERY reliable,i hardly every hear or seen a S40 reboot or crash actualy, and their battery life is fantastic,so i would recommend the 6600i Slide as you pointed out the phone will be used for basic things and S40 does that best.

True that, although the 6600i Slide (at CPW) is about 50 more than the C903 available at Phones4U.
Mentioned the 2 retailers, as I don't see the C903 on PAYG on CPW's site, or the 6600i Slide on PAYG at Phones4U..?
The other drawcard (for me) is the unlocked status of most CPW-supplied handsets.

Ah i remember the 6600s now i forgot. Thats a decent model. And yes s40 especially the 6th edition is very stable these days. I had a 6303 and in all the time i had it i never encountered one single problem with it. Not a single crash freeze or restart and no other software issues. And that is speaking the truth. S40 might seem slightly dated now but its still very functional and stable. I am thinking of getting the 6700. Also Nokia have also seriously improved their battery life. The 6303 has probably one of the longest lasting batteries i have ever used. After once charging it and using it all day with browsing texts calls camera video everything the battery was still full. One guy left his on standby for 9 days and it was still going
