Hi

I've been looking around here for a long time to find a solution but still can't connect to Wifi with my satio.

I've tried the advanced settings that people say here, but doesn't chance anything.

Problem I think I have is with I go to connections - wifi - options - connect or start browser, when I try to connect it say connection trough MMS... I don't think that is the good way, right? But how do I fix this? And yes it is already 1 priority at internet settings.

Any help?
thx

Go to settings >> Connectivity >> Destinations >> Options >> Default Connection >> Select and set it to Always ask

done that, doesn't work, thing is my phone finds the wifi, and if i try internet it asks me what I want to use, so then I say wifi. But then it starts connecting and is gives an error. It all the sudden says that it can't find the network.

I'm really hoping to fix this soon, it's a brand new phone and I can't enjoy it as it should...

Any ideas?

I had similar problems initially with the satio. Mine fortunately got resolved quite easily by deleting the wifi access points in connectivity>>internet and then going to Add New and setting it up again.

Which firmware do you have. Wi-fi was improved with the r1c... firmware.

It might be something connected to my problem as well.
In my case, when I try to use internet (I have set to ask) it may not detect at first instance. But trying coupleof times detect my network. I complained to SE and they said, that if this problem is not resolved with firmware update (RICA) then you need to send it back to as this is within warranty.

However, they also said if they do not detect the fault they will charge !! Strangely sometime my Satio can detect and sometimes it cannot. Its not that bad so I have not returned the phone as it might bring in more problem.

SE claims that after the new firmware (some call it software) update, WiFi is much stable. You can give it a try. But for me intermitent vanishing of wireless signal was there before and after the update no change.

If you go to SE site, look for SE Update Service and download the SEUS software. Then go by the instruction.
The latest firmware should be RICA037.

Hi all,

I have a problem more or less like that and I need some help.
I'm at home and I have a WiFi. I tried with a secured and a non secured WiFi.

The Satio is showing my network. I try to connect, it asked me the key and it tried to connect.
Then I'm getting this message:

WiFI: Network not found, could not connect.

Anybody has an idea ?

I have the same message with a non-secured WiFi.

Thanks

When you say tried secured and non-secured, in latter case, did you set your router to unsecure mode ?
The router security and phone access should match and I am guessing that is a problem.
What security is your phone using ?

Hi,

try to reset your router and make sure you set properly and make sure you have to correct password keys. have you update your phone to a newer firmware?

Hi,
Yes I changed my router settings and matched it with my mobile. When the wifi is secured, the mobile is asking the key, else, it tried to connect directly but without any success...
