Is anyone here a plumber or know anything about plumbing? I want to try and deal with something in one of our pipes without calling someone out if possible. We have an airlock in one of the pipes. What happens is when the loo is flushed one of the pipes vibrates really loud. To stop this we have to turn on a cold tap but we can't seem to get rid of it. Anyone help thanks

I have the same problem in this house, and it's only the downstairs loo that causes it. Upstairs is fine. Let me know if you find a solution.

Oh well never mind. I did a google search and it says something along the lines of turn on cold tap first then block the flow of water out of the cold tap so it goes back into the system. Whilst doing that turn on the hot tap and this will send the cold back into the hot tap or something then that should get rid of the airlock. Only problem is when i tried that this morning i got sprayed with water
