I am in kinda big problem. My P1i had sm sms sending issues so i did master rest and update the software, before doing that I backup my phone data using SE PC Suite, now after updating my phone's software, when i try to restore the backup using SE PC Suite , it simple says " THE RESTORE FAILED".
Help me guys as all my contacts , calender, messanges , n other data is in that backup .. plz suggest sm solution for this problem.

Have u tried restoring them one by one, I mean contacts alone, then calendar... likewise

I also take it you didn't use the Contact manager or the Calender manager to backup to your memory card either. You could try disconnecting from the internet, disable you firewall and anti virus and then try the restore.

I had a similar problem way back with my P990. Assuming you are using the same PC Suite version, I think what happens is that the program thinks that you have a different phone and will not restore your data. Has the version of the OS changed on your P1? If so, you may get the restore to work by manually editing your PC's registry and replacing all occurrences of the old SW version with what you actually have now on your P1. That's probably the only way you can get it to work.
As I said, I was able to get it to work but it was a couple of years ago

P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD
