Hi, i was wondering if there is a way to configure the W995 to use wifi connection instead of EDGE/3G to send mail. Alternatively, i would like to know about a third party application that allows it. My main interest is to send somewhat large attachments, such as pictures. Thanks in advance!

No, i tested with wifi On, however, it tries to connect via EDGE anyway. But i think it should use wifi, just like the integrated web browser.

My bad, deleted my gmail account and created it again, tested it and it works just fine. I think i was confused with the sending mail icon that appears next to the signal indicator and thought i was using EDGE. Please lock this thread.

My W995i also gets confused sometimes on which connection to use. I have two tricks that will push it to use Wifi instead of 3G - one is start up Opera mini (beta 5) which , more often than not, prioritizes WiFi use. The built in browser follows suit after.

The other trick is to switch to Flight mode then use the internet app over Wifi then switch back to normal mode after a successful session.

I think that the W995 apps "remember" what the default connection the last time they were run. They also remember wrongly from time to time
