Sometimes i take the memory card out without thinking and a warning comes up saying something like you should select remove memory card or something before taking it out.
Would just taking the memory card out of the phone without doing this harm the phone in anyway? |

I did that many times but my phones is still ok. I think SE is afraid that you have any running applications running halfway and then you took out the card. That will spoil the card. And I did it when applications are not running from my card then I took it out. |

To remove the memory card safely do the following;
quickly depress On/Off switch
scroll down to bottom
choose memory card and you get an option to close open programs,just choose yes and follow instructions. |

Its mainly because the phone might be accessing the memory card at the time you remove it.
Just do what SMARTY1972 said. Its safer than having to format the memory card if something becomes corrupted.

alternative .... go to file manager, highlight your card then select options.
"Remove card" is the second one down !!!
I reject your reality and substitute my own. |
