First C905 I received was a dud, and I'm thinking this one may be too.

The flash is very...weak. I had a K790a in the past and it's flash wasn't too bad, but this one is very mediocre. I took a few sample pictures to demonstrate how it works. The first two are on automatic, I literally opened the lens, point and click. The cat is two feet away, the dresser is six feet away. The flash "flashes" but as you can see, it's result is meh.

If you enable smart-contrast, it's a little better.

And if you shut off flash:

Are there different camera drivers or perhaps a different firmware I should try? Current firmware:
R1FA035 Generic

Ok,i don't have a c905,but same thing happened to me on my k850. Pics were blurry and out of focus & dark. I had to change camera module, it's not to expensive!

Try to upload modded camdriver to Your phone. It's far better than original one.

Er.. my old C905's flash could light up (admittedly, a small-sized) room. I think your problem might be a software one. Try updating.

Installed the above driver and am getting similar results. Any other suggestions? What is the latest firmware? I may have accidentally installed the OLDEST firmware as opposed to the newest.

The version I have is posted in the first post. I just can't find a definitive answer as to WHAT the actual latest one is.

Also, if it is the camera driver, is it easy to get repaired? I live in the States....more specifically, Columbus OH.

I fixed the problem. I returned the phone and got a refund.
