Hello,
Today my C902 start to gave me some weird names in my contact list, so I restarted the phone and ever since it's not working!!!
I get the Sony ericsson logo at startup and that's it, the phone just freezes here!!!
I have more than 500 contacts on it!!! Need to have them back!!
Using A2UPLOADER I FOUND:
/tpa/system/phonebook.dbf
is there a way of reading this file?
Anyone can help??
THanks.

I doubt there is a software that could read this file but try using notepad. If the is file not encrypted of some sort, you could still save a few important numbers. That works for the sms file. |

Do you have back up on Memory Stick ?
Open (with M2 USB adapter or other Sony Ericsson with M2 card ) hidden folder System > PIM > PB_Backup.vcf
If you haven't PB_Backup.vcf - no way...

hmmm... tried the notepad trick sadly it is encrypted.
And nope no Memory card that's why I also find it weird that it is freezing!! No reason for it to freeze!!
Anyway maybe if I install a new software wiping out everything then copying:
/tpa/system/phonebook.dbf
to the new software would work ? will it show the actual list? or there are some other DB realted to it ? |

Problem Solved.
Good News: You can save ur phone contacts if ur C902 is not starting up anymore.
Need the A2 Uploader Copy the phonebook file in: tps/system/phonebook.dbf
Re-Install the hole phone software using: SEUS. Then replace the new clean old phonebook file with the one u just saved.
Same goes for the messages: tpa/system/messaging/db
Hope this helps. |
