hey guys we've been taking and admiring pictures made with c901 but we rarely tried to compare them (i think there was one guy before who did some comparison shots) to any other devices that are able to take photos (e.g camcorders, photo cameras, other mobile phones..) so decided to start this thread and maybe we'll see some interresting results thus, let me start with some comparison shots

Comparison with K800.
Device info:
K800 - R1KG001, stock driver, focus inf.
C901 - R1GA028, stock driver, focus inf., set to 3MPx
K800 < - cloudy weather - > C901
K800 < - indoor with flash - > C901

Second picture taken with C901 is out of focus, still it's better than the one taken with K800, imo. First shot is out of comparison tho.

I forgot to mention:
Both cameras are set to focus infinity,
because of broken AF on K800.

it looks almost like the 'cloudy' scene was set on the c510, the pic looks very blue and the car is over-exposed. the and camera-phone is much better quality, but i think we sometimes forget they are just camera phones and quality is still fine for a phone

@ Goldmen
thanx for comparison shots it seems that c901 is good move from SE for the people who wanted to move from k800 (which was considered as the best camera phone then) to something better and more up to date with technological aspects
also Russian beer made me laugh

Yes, the C901 looks like a good upgrade of K800.
Also - at least for me it is logical...
The important thing is that I am quite pleased.
But the beer is bulgarian...

It's not overexposed, the sky is too bright compared to the rest of the pic.

its still over exposed in one part of the pic, this happens with all cameras, thats why we have exposure compensation

yep the c901 tends to produce slightly overexposed photos but with the help of EV we can easily control it |
