Testing if there is any interest here before going to other places; for sale my trusty Dell D420, not the newest kid on the block, but a very reliable road warrior. Some specs:
1.2GHZ Intel Core Duo U2500
12" matte screen @ 1280x800
30GB 4200RPM HDD
2.5GB RAM, 1.99GB available for the OS.
Wireless network card
Bluetooth
1gbit ehternet port
Infrared
3x USB 2.0
1x Firewire
PCMCIA slot
Smartcard slot
Slot for SIM card to enable 3G internet (requires new wlan card).
VGA out
TPM chipset for professional encryption of the hdd.
2 batteries; 6 and 9 cell, it can run upto 7 hours on the 9 cell.
UK plug charger.

Also included is a media slice/docking station, which also works on the battery. It clicks neatly under the laptop adding a lot of ports (DVI, USB, COM, etc, etc) and also a DVDRW as the laptop itself has no optical media to save weight.
XP license at the bottom, running Windows 7 now, which runs fine. It will also run Ubuntu and OSX just fine, currently having a tripple boot with Windows 7, Ubuntu and OSX Leopard.
Will post pictures soon. Review here, mind you the model reviewed is Core Solo, mine is Core Duo.
This machine is about 3 years old, with some marks on the top lid, the keyboard (US layout) is brand new and comes with 2 silicon protectors. I will also include a brand new UK layout keyboard.
The screen has no dead or lit pixels, but there is a very small spot in right hand corner which you can not see 99% of the time, you have to look for it. I will try and capture it on a photo. This can be fixed for free as it still has 2 years (11/24/2011) of on site next business day support MON-SAT 8am-8pm. Normally that is MON-FRI 9am-5pm.
I will transfer the service tag to the new owner. I don't mind the spot, so I never bothered to have it fixed.
Serious offers only, these machines cost over 1000 pounds new. It's a serious business laptop, with 2 years on site warranty left. weighing only 1.5 kilo with the 9 cell battery. This will put new smaller netbooks to shame.
