Well, I've just get my hands on the new Satio!

I can say that it has surprised me for its camera. Nevertheless, I've experienced my first bug with it after only 5 minutes of play. It's impossible to change the standby theme. When I do that, the phone simply freezes or refuses to display any icons on the home screen. It only stays stable and steady @ the SE own theme. It's good, but I'd prefer to see all my appointments @ the home screen, just like any good old Symbian phone does. I also reckon that unlocking it doesn't seem to be always an easy task to perform.

The purpose of this topic is to gather all the information abailable about Satio's bugs in order to provide a good feedback database for SE and for it's developing team to provide us with better firmware versions. (Ok, this was their job, but let's give them a last chance to do it right).

THIS TOPIC IS NOT INTENDED TO DISCUSS WHETHER THE PHONE'S GOOD OR NOT. PLEASE, RESPECT THAT. IT'S MEANT TO BE A HELPFUL TOPIC.

I will update this first post whenever it's possible in order to reflect the actual situation better. That way new owners may have easy access to what is or what isn't a common bug with the phone.

SO FAR:

- Changing Standby Themes BUG;
- (ARGUABLE) Unlocking BUG;

In addiction of all what just have been said:

Things missing that should be added:
-Faster acess to songs (a simple search function like on the others S60 phones)
-Equalizer
-Less camara pictures compression

Bugs:
-Wifi dont work with bluetooth on (not finding networks)

Others:
-Very bad battery life due to poor firmware optimization
-The phone lags sometimes

(tbh I thought there already was a bug list, but here goes ) Some bugs are going to be related to one problem:

* Application bug (Phone caller log) - Always has a mobile phone icon against the missed/received/dialled caller even if you have them down in your contacts as a 'Work number' or 'home number'. Aka Can't distinguish number association. Frequency: All the time !

* Application bug (Default Browser Crashes) - Pressing the delete key multiple times when in an edit field box. Frequency: Regularly !!

* End making voice call causes power down - Blank Screen, Can't power on. Battery Pull required. Frequency: a few times times.

* Default Browser causes reboot - While using 3G clicked on a link, phone paused and rebooted. Frequency: Occasionally.

* SE standby theme screen corruption - Scrolling/Viewing images from the theme has caused corruption/image flipping/green-yellow background. Reboot required. Frequency: occasionally.

* Phone call received - Reboot. Frequency: occasionally.

* Music stutters - clicks/pauses throughout listening to MP3s (have tried it with telemetry,wifi off), Frequency: All the time.

* 'No Gateway' when on wifi received message, Frequency: occasionally, has improved changing the long and short wifi settings on the satio.

* SE Beta/contacts sync - It removes associated caller id picture from phone book entry. I keep a LOCAL 'Backup' via the filemanager utility but before I do I always check my Star callers in the SE theme to see that they have pictures. If they've gone I just restore Contacts locally. Frequency: occasionally, keep a local backup daily !

* Application bug (Track ID) - Cannot hear music message, Frequency: All the time

* Bluetooth send / receive - Send all results in one message, Frequency: All the time, but have a workaround.

My list is endless to be honest..

MMS closes itself down when trying to scroll through pics to add to message, also closes if you select the search button.
Many random reboots.
Date and time changed by itself which affects all pics and messages that are sent received until you spot it and change it back. mine went back to jan 2000
No option to save when zooming in on taken photo's.

Mine does the same but this only happens if you remove the battery. You must re adjust the clock after that

The "unlock bug" is because you've got the accelerometer enabled and UI rotation enabled.

"No option to save when zooming in on taken photo's."

There is. Just use the photo editor.

Seriously guys.. Quite a few of the things mentioned here are feature requests, not bugs. And some are even because of user errors, not a problem with the phone. My Satio is about perfect.

If you have a phone number in phonebook stored with 2 different names, then incomming calls shows no name at all!

@larry68
If you add an effect (which is where you'll find crop and resize) you can then choose to save the change. Just zooming in doesn't make any change to the image so the save option won't appear.

Not true. I've done so on several photos of my dog.

Do as suggested by hammera.
