Hey folks.
how are you today.
well, i have a little and very annoying problem with my k850i. since couple days ago i have experiencing some thing wrong with the plug in (where you connect your hand free enhancement and earphones). of the phone. I have to move back and forth to try to listening to music. i have try every single thing (cleaning with wet wipes, towel...etc) and the issue still. When i got the right position of the earphone or hand free enhacenment i try not to move or i CANT listen to anything. i think isnot problem of the earphones because, if it none of the two pairs will work at all. What do you think? If I flash it, the problem will resolve?. please help!. imagine listening to music and suddenly it stops because the ear phone plugin moves.......thank you a lot

you shouldn't use liquid cleaners such as wet wipes on there - they
leave a residue on the contacts.

try using a pencil eraser on the fastport contacts and handsfree / headset
plugs' connectors .... always cured my various SE's connection issues.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

@zokowmali
did you resolve the problem? So you just told me that if I clean the pins with metal nails the problem will gone? But, I think there is a problem in that, as the metal nail conduct electricity, the pins will be damaged or not? I am not sure, what do you think? I jut tried with pencil eraser, but it didn't work...so sad! . I will try any other possible thing and hope it is resolve.
thank you. I will post results

When I had problems with my phone's contacts I cleaned them using a toothpick. This doesn't damage them and is quite effective. But at some point this stopped working and then I moved to a harsher method, using a needle. The needle (or anything sharp and made of metal) will scratch the contacts, dramatically improving connection. But this method wears them quickly and may damage them so I don't recommend it, except if nothing else works and you're planning to ditch the phone anyway in the near future.
K850i was the SE's most superb phone. And failure.
Advanced to Android.

fast port depreciates quickly due to improper handling... so need to take care...
but the port doesn't go to bad mainly by dust and dirt.. but improper plugging and unplugging.
so still u face the problem just change the post its very easy...if u know how to open it..
now i have w995 so that gives me full comfort on all handsfree functions...

good news is i have succeeded implementing 3.5mm jack connector to the k810i just yesterday.. the jack located on the top so now i have both fast port on the bottom and 3.5mm jack on the top supports full handsfree functions as my w995. i'm preparing for the tutorial will post the link on completing the tutorial.hope k810i owners will ove it... the jacks sits inside the speaker housing at other side..Protruding on the top.

and i guess its possible on k850 as well bec it has larger top speaker housing.
