So I have an unbranded satio and I love it! Great screen, web browser, music, video, calls, camera, everything works perfect and I have had no freezes or bugs whatsoever! It does everything I need it to do! So whats the problem?.......Apps. No matter how hard I try I can never find apps that work for it and most are for 5800 or n97, I absolutely love this phone but sometimes I think of Android or Iphone apps and it just makes me mad, there is no dedicated app store, nothing! SE is soon coming out with the X10 and I am seriously thinking about selling my Satio when it comes out and getting the X10, honestly the X10 seems perfect, it has everything I need and want!
Good Idea? |

All the apps that work on the 5800, N97 and the OmniaHD should and will work on the Satio. They've got the same bloody operating system. Symbian's also got one of the largest app bases out there.

You have to know where to look. Ive got over 100+ apps installed on mine. You will need to hack your phone with HeloOX2 to be able to install most of the apps out there. |

Try here, you can find all applications you want, & hack you phone to bypass the symbian signature check

You have to "sign" the application to get past the certificate error. I could give you useful links but im not sure if im allowed to post them. Or you can try googling it
edit: Or, if you are an impatient person, you can donate $5.00 to HelloOX2 and they will sign it for you. Then you can install just about everything

I have HelloOX2 unsigned and all the bits that come seperately for getting it signed as well as rom patcher, any pointers in basic idiot form of what to do with it all now ?
And is it better to wait till new firmware has been installed ?
Any risks and can you undue it if you need to? |

You will need your .cert and .key files, then use signsis (google it) and sign HelloOX2. Once signed, simply install it on your phone and it will hack it for you. HelloOX2 comes with rom patcher built in already. Once you have it installed then you can start installing all the apps you want
No need to wait for the new firmware.. when the new firmware comes out, it will wipe the phone clean anyway so just install it again. And yes, you can un-do/remove it if you wish to (but i dont see the point lol) |

Yes you can install any. Just remember once you installed HelloOX2, click on Rom Patcher (the file also installs Rom Patcher together with HelloOX2) and click on the 2 options you see. Make sure there's a green check mark on it. You will understand what i mean once you do it. |
