What are Remote Drives in Satio? |

In the Settings/Communication menu, there is a setting for "Remote Drive". To add a new remote drive, I have to specify name, address, connection point, user name and password, but what do I enter? I find nothing about this in the manual. |

You can access a service such as Apple's Mobile Me / iDisk service;

As well as apples MobileMe iDisk service the satio should be able to connect to a WebDav service, for example if you're running them on a linux in your lan.
I'll give it a go and report any changes that drift away from the normal webdav setup.

Just do this if you want to setup a remote drive on your local unix server for your satio to use.
If you're running ubuntu or debian or .. just follow one that best matches your config...

Then on the Satio just define the remote drive pointing at your webdav server (default setup uses http not https), fill in the user and password you gave during the setup on the unix side, choose your access point or allow to always ask. Then Options->Connect to it, then use a file manager on the Satio to dump/retrieve files to/from your remote unix server.
Alternatively if you want a public storage server, look for anything that offers webdav connectivity then your Satio should be able to use it.

4shared has webdav suport in their free package (10GB storage, but must log in within 30 days or account suspended until you login again.)
I'm about to test it now..

Yep, it works! 10GB accessibkle via web folders - anywhere anytime. The Satio client works perfectly - there is also an app with added features, haven't tried that as yet.

I managed to set it up with in Windows 7's IIS service, it took me a lot of time, there are a lot of problems with it. There are guides for it on the web. Now I can access shared folder's on the PC from my phone through wifi. |

If you do port forward on your router you'll be able to access it remotely as well. Just make sure you keep your IIS updated.
