those comment from Eldar is mainly related to the concern of Timescape...mediascape slowing down the Android update iteration or speed by SE.... since everyone can easily update but not SE due to the complexity.
that is no doubt a concern....
On my opinion, wouldn't have a choice on removing timescape and mediascape for the sake of updating faster. These are the only aspect (aside from good camera) that will make standout from other android devices. |

Would be nice of SE to provide a choice for their costumers.
If you want Timescape/Mediascape - you wait longer for an update (as it is now).
If you don't want SE customization - you get the updates on time. |

I think doesn't want to be a generic android device with mediascape and timescape but they really must address the delay on their updates soon

Two weeks from now...
While it's highly unlikely, releasing it right before the holidays = $ony £ricsson.
It probably would only be out in the market in Q1 2011, though.
On a sidenote, I read in one of the reports that Tekken's coming to it. F*ck Yeah!!! |

Most probably if the nov 9, 2010 announcement is true shipping could be feb 2011

so in MWC the PR should be like this:
"Sony Ericsson announces a new line of Android 2.3 phones ... available today"
or maybe "to be available next two weeks"
yeah... make.believe

I think it does make sense that they're going to release the Psp phone earlier than the release of the successor of the Psp cause for sure, the new psp will be totally better than the psp phone in the gaming part. The only thing that the psp phone can brag about is that it can make calls. |

yes I agree with you but i guess this is a very tough management or product strategy to choose... since both have pros and cons.
but it will be nice SE found a way to make their update speed faster so they will never be too far behind from the rest that have only small tweak to the Android core. |

Sometimes I always wonder about this. Can't all manufacturer make their Custom UI's as skin installed onto the phone and ship the phone with stock Android? |
