I have T68 and i use it with voicestream in US.I dont have delivery reports becauce i cant see the menu of delivery report so i can put it on.The same problem have a lot of people here who use the T68 with Orange and Telia and a lot of others companys have this problem...My question is do tou think this problem is on the phone software and can we fix it just if we update the phone version or our company have to update their sim cards???I know if you have Nokia phones some menus intepenses from your sime card if you can have access or not.But what do you think about this problem?

In T68 you can set the Status Request to ON if you wish to know the status of your SMS delivery. This can be set in the Message Menu->Option->SMS->Status Request.
If your SMS have been successfully sent, Message Delivered will appear in your screen.
You can also check the status of your SMS in the Sent Box menu. This works only if you turn the above on.
However, unlike Nokia phone, there is no delivery report.

t68user: actually u cant do that with voicestream because the option itself is not available.

n|ck_xp: you can get delivery reports by put *not# before what u want to write (i.e. *not#hi, how are you?)
and then send it you'll get a text with all the info (date, time, delivered yes or no)

Some networks don't support it... you should phone up your network helpline and talk to them about it. I'm sure they'll tell you what's up...

Good luck

I used to have the same problem (if this can be called a problem) with my T68 and Cosmote, here in Greece. What is the SW version of your phone?
When I upgraded to R2A the option for status request became available, and everything works fine now.

So perhaps you should just do the same.

Well, the "problem" was that the status request option was not shown at the menu.

From what I've gathered, the whole thing was due to the SIM card AND the SW: the phone (the earlier SW versions) shows only the menu options that the SIM "tells" it to. My SIM (cosmote) apparently didn't "tell" the phone to show that option (and the "validity period" option as well). With the new SW versions, the phone shows all the menu options, so it's OK.

At least that's what I know about that issue - could be wrong though. Perhaps someone could confirm or deny this.

Anyway, after the upgrade from R1B to R2A both these option are available. I suggest (if that's not a lot of a trouble for you) to do a SW upgrade and see what happens.

regards,
Thanassis
