A way to stop camera unlocking phone ? |

My phone loves to open the shutter on its own as since its so easy to open proberly 1/10 times of putting it in my pocket the camera opens up. If the shutter is open the phone is unlocked hence my problem the phone just activates everything until I notice. It seems aswell when this happens usually the phone loses all sound strangely weither its because it has been pressing pritty much every button I dont know.
The only way I can get the sound back once its happened is to turn the phone on and off so it does seem to be something to do with this issue but I cant find an option in settings to prevent it.
I cant believe sony over looked something as simple and easy to prevent what a stupid idea to have a shutter that unlocks the phone and then make it so an ant can open the cover.
Is there a way because I'm losing my sanity with this phone ? |

I'd like a choice. Normally, I hate having to unlock the phone to activate the camera quickly - but then it causes the problem you have. A simple menu option; job done.

C905 had a much better way to unlock the phone you had to push the cover in then slide which is impossible by just putting it in your pocket. As usual though sony seem to take anything good about the previous version chew it up and lose it some how.
Ill give them a month to get it sorted or its going on ebay full of design flaws that just 5 mins of common sense could of put right. |

While I like the way that I can open the Satio lens to instantly take a photo.
Having an Option or no option (in software/firmware) it is utterly pointless. When the lens cover is open in your pocket it's then open to the elements of rubbish (lint,fibres,bogeys,keys) that is in your pocket. They need a small catch/clip up/down that is going to stop the lens cover from sliding (right to left) open.
My current solution to this is to place it a small lint free bag.. then its in my pocket.. Sure it's a pain to answer calls (sometimes) but no lens pocket issues.
I may look at other physical design alternative such as a plastic clip. I need to put a bit more effort into a design though. |
