Ok,
Since I haven’t found any more info on this after the announcement…
(Maybe looked at wrong place???)
Can someone try to explain to me exactly what this mean and what can we expect?
30 sec. in this video…

We also have this…-

First we can confirm that we will see lots of web app’s that will work both for X10 and Satio, right?
In the first video he also talks about the Nexus UX platform, both for Android and Symbian! =)
Dose this mean that we will have quite a big FW update to Satio in the future?
If you also look at this… especially 30 sec. in…

… you get a feeling that Timescape and Mediascape is possible for Satio.
Have had my Satio now for a time. Great phone, but can’t stand the UI!
Desperate hope for miracles that will bring Satio to the glory it deserves!!!

The new UI being showcased first on the Xperia X10 and then many other devices in 2010 will ABSOLUTELY NOT be coming to the Satio. I asked this many times to various top SE people and the Satio pre-dates the new UI, so no Timescape or Mediascape features will come to this model.
That's not to say it won't come to any other Symbian devices SE may make, and I guess there's always scope for some hacked ROM if that does happen... but I wouldn't count on it.

I wrote a comment, but after I watched the last video for second time, I understood my comment was wrong.

Yes, quite possible Timescape and Mediascape to appear in January firmware |

To clarify what I said; if they introduce the new UI on the next Symbian device (which is likely to be the cut-down Satio with 8.1-megapixel camera) then there's the possibility that someone will hack that firmware to work on the current Satio (U1i). But, I am also sure there will be many issues to contend with, so I don't know if it would really be possible.
If the next Symbian device has a capacitive touchscreen, that might actually make quite a big difference.

If they introduce a modified version of the UI in Kurara, there's a high probability that SE may offer a free upgrade via SEUS as they did with the C905.

I really hope SE does change its mind. They have no plans to further development of the Satio firmware (beyond bug fixes) but the next S60v5 device they make should surely make it easy to roll-out any improvements in a build for the Satio.
I mean, there is no major difference between the U1 and the U5, besides the HD capture of one and the different screen type.
