Two things that I found in Satio and I'm wondering am I only one?

1. There is no equalizer in music player (or I don't know how to find it)
2. When SMS income it shows me the phonenumber of sender, even when I have that number in my phonebook it still show me a number not a name.

Did anybody noticed something like this?
I'm a newbie in symbian phones, so if I missed something pls help me.

The thing with only the number showing & not the name is a common early bug in Symbian phones. I always used to get that on some Nokia Symbian devices. Annoying

This is indeed common in Nokias and, as this is also a Symbian phone....

It usually happens, when the numbers are stored twice, in contacts and on the simcard, the phone doesn't know, which to choose and shows only the number.

I noticed the same thing. For me, I have an entry in the address book called "Home" in case I want to call somebody at home, or if somebody in my family calls me. That entry has a special ring tone and a nice picture of a house, and also, I let it through when using a profile with caller number limitations (e.g. the meeting profile). I also have a business card stored, containing all the numbers where I may be reached, including my home number. This entry appears as a normal entry in the phone book, and it's convenient to send it with an SMS or Bluetooth to someone else when exchanging addresses and phone numbers. Since I then have my home number stored more than once, the phone gets confused ,and doesn't use neither of the address book entries when selecting ring signal or showing contact picture. On previous phones I have owned, the phone usually searches the phone book alphabetically and uses the entry that comes first in the alphabet, and thus, I renamed my "Home" entry to "A Home" (actually, "A HOME (ICE)" ) in order to put it before the other entries. This doesns't work on the Satio. Instead, I had to remove my home number from my business card entry.

OK, but why fixed? Is everything must be fixed in SE from some time? Why can't we get full working product from the start? I can understand fixing bugs, but this is minor function that we haven't got. It's not cheap phone, it cost some money, and for that amount (about 500 euro in Poland) I want stable & working phone from SE. Strange politics from SE!

A test managers position is never an easy one to hold.

The fine line between deadlines, tests that follow procedures and tests that go off the beaten track, all cost money both in effort and in time.

We unfortunately don't live in an utopian society, nothing is clinical about the environments we live and work in. There's always some spanner that gets thrown into any product line, be it from management or from development.

Sure there will have been user testing out there... but who tests the testers ?

My satio crashes several times per day- mostly when I put an end to a call it freezes (at least once per day and i dont make more than 5 calls per day) and also several times it happened that when i use online application such as google maps it crashes and restarts itself. Has this been the case with anyone else? Should I take the phone to service or just wait for the new firmware?

@basic - I'd take your phone back that doesn't sound right.
my satio has been crash free so far, I've even tried the same
things tht have got other satios to crash .... I'm starting to
think that buying direct from SE was my best move yet !!!
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

ok I have two things that i have identified with my satio that are just pure bad SW writting

has anyone tried changing a ringtone or a wallpaper, you have to scroll through every sound/picture file on the phone to attempt to find what you want, just plain stupid

You should be able to go to specific folders for these things, I have a folder with ringtones in it and the satio comes with a folder on the c: drive with wallpapers in it and yet you have to scroll through every single media file on the device to find what you want, now if I am being stupid here and there actually is a way of doing this then please tell me how. I could on my P1i
