I have a problem that the xenon flash doesn't work and when this happens the phone freezes, and rarely when it does work it continuously flashes and there's no way of stopping it besides taking the battery out.

So does anyone know any ideas of how to fix this?

sounds like a hardware fault, the most you could do would be reset the device to factory and update the firmware using SEUS reflash it with the current release over the top of whats there, if that doesn't fix it then it looks like a return to SE and repair

one of the SEUS options should be "re-install" .... try that .... haven't had need to use it on
my Satio yet, but it's "rescued" a coupleof previous SE's I've had
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
