Hi guys
1. Is there any way to turn up the vibrate on my phone when I recieve a text? I go to college and don't want to put a ring tone on it incase someone texts/calls when I'm in a lecture, but I would like to know when I get messages. However i've noticed the vibrate when I recieve a text is really quiet and the only real way to know if I've got one is to check the little light at the top, if that wasn't there I'd NEVER know!
2. There's a little flashing SMS icon at the top of my satio main menu screen and I can't seem to get rid of it- all of my messages have been opened so why is this still flashing?!
3. Is there any way to turn off 3G browsing? I'd like to browse using my wifi but don't want to accidently use my 3G instead since it will charge me.
4. can I change the sensitivity for the touch screen?
5. Is there any way to change the main page layout? if possible, changing what all the icons do on the main screen?
Thanks! |

- Not sure, probably need a customized SMS app

- Icon should go away when you've read an unread SMS / Email

- You could 'create' a 'Wifi only' specific Destination under 'Connectivity->Destinations' and place any Wifis into the 'Wifi only', then set 'Options->default connection' to be 'Wifi Only'. As long as your applications 'browser / email' are set to use 'default connection' then you will be sure to be using 'Wifi Only'. Down side is that you have to remember to change the default setting back to 'Contract Internet' or what ever you had set.. For when you really are mobile. Just remember when you change it around it can effect other applications. The other method is just make sure you place the Wifis into the 'Contract Internet' and give them priority. It's all bit a of fiddle but after a while you'll get what I mean.
4. can I change the sensitivity for the touch screen?
- I Don't think so, hopefully/maybe it'll be improved by Firmware..
5. Is there any way to change the main page layout? if possible, changing what all the icons do on the main screen?
- No direct easy way I don't think, it's probably all done by having a customized Theme editor, in short I've not experiemented.

2. flashing sms, I had this too and thanks to otheres here I can tell you it means your SIM card is full, delete or move some stuff from the Sim and the SMS symbol will go away.
4. Have you configured your touch screen ? try resting it in the settings menu. |

the only way (currently) to change the layout of the main screen is to
use one of the 5 options on the standby theme settings page ...
I reject your reality and substitute my own. |

You've probably already found out that if you're using the Standard Sony Ericsson Theme standby screen you can customize the launch apps from the 'Short cut menu icon' - I know this doesn't quite answer your 'Modify the main page layout' but at least you can have your top 8(is it??) favourite apps/access here. |

I just got my Satio yesterday, but I think I have some answers.
1. There is a edit setting for each profile. There I can change a vibration level. I haven't tried it, but from the name that should be it.
2. If the light means that the memory is full of messages, you can move them to the memory card instead in the options for messages. Just go there and you will see a setting for storage location. You'll probably have room for more there, or you could just delete some old ones.
4. There is one setting that might help. In settings -> phone -> touch (or something similar, I use a different language) you can change write speed. That helped me a lot for the writing. Not sure if it helps for the overall sensitivity.
