Please can some one answer my questions.

1.) Ive seen on videos on the home screens there are tabs, and you swipe your finger to get to the next tab, on each tab there are different options e.g. favourites, pictures. My question is, can i add a unlimeted number of shortcuts to each tab, or is it only a set amount, also the same for the contacts. If there is a maximun number how many fav contacts and shortcuts can you have on each tab. Also is there a way to hack into it on do something to allow a unlimeted number of shortcuts.

2.) Im likley to get this on the "3" network, what is the branding like?

3.) On the shortcuts tab can you add anything as a shortcut, like a application or text message etc.

Thanks very much for your answers

1) I'm not sure which video you have seen, but from your description, it sounds like a video for Xperia and not Satio. It's possible that you can find a theme with that behaviour, but it's nothing that came with my Satio though.

2) I'm not very fond of branding at all, and there are some network operators that brands their units harder than others, and imho, "3" is one of them. I heven't seen a branded "3" Satio though, mine is unbranded.

3) See my answer on (1), I believe that the shortcuts handling is part of the selected theme. The default SonyEricsson theme has a shortcut menu that is limited to installed applications and URL:s, i.e. no folders. That theme also has a tab for web bookmarks.

Shortcuts is limited to 8 but you can have pretty much anything in there, e.g. an app, new message, bluetooth settings, etc. Internet bookmarks is also limited to 8 but the Contacts favourites isn't (I've got 18 in the list). Not aware of any way of editing the theme but hopefully someone will come up with a way (or SE will give us a theme editor to build our own). Can't help with 3 branding as I'm sim free.

that's for sure the home screen of the SonyEricsson theme that is displayed. (Notice how fast the screen is blackened and the keyboard is locked on the Satio, that is one of the first annoyances you will encounter. Luckily, the timeouts can be changed in the settings, the short default timeouts are probably due to power saving). Unfortunately, this theme is the only one of the four shipped with the phone that is functioning properly.

There are only five tabs at the top, and they cannot be replaced. You access either one of them either by tapping the tab, or by dragging the screen sideways. The default tab is the middle one.

There are three shortcut tabs: one for your 8 favourite contacts, one for your 8 favourite web links and one for you 8 favourite programs. The last tab contains your picture gallery, sorted with the most recent picture first.

@altemyr, favourite contacts is not limited to 8 entries, at least not on mine.

I don't have that many favourite contacts so I haven't really noticed that, but I assumed it since that limitation exists on the two other tabs, and the graphical layouts of the three tabs are similar.
