Is it possible to use dual number SIM on P800?
Nokia 6210 as well as some other phones support that feature.

Do you mean a line 1 and line 2?
Where you have a sepperate number on each line and a different tarrif?
It should support it, if this is what you mean but it would be network dependant. |

yes, line 1 and line 2 - couldn't find anything about it...are you sure it's only a network dependant thing?

Yes line one & line 2 is network dependant & it should be offered by Orange UK as its the only way to recieve calls on both numbers.
BUT there is a couple of ways to have multiple numbers which is not network dependant,
You could use a twin sim adapter but you have to switch between the sims so u can`t recieve calls on the non active sim until u switch to it, or you can get a programable sim with up to 8 numbers on it but u still only get one live one at a time.
So what we want is a brave manufacturer to give us a QUALITY phone which has an option of using 2 active sims. i hear one exists but it`s a crappy phone.

I use a sim with 2 numbers on it and it's just fine because you can forward the numbers to each other so you recieve all calls made to both numbers whichever sim is active. And you can switch between them for outgoing calls in 1 second. Last time I checked, this was the only method the UAE telecom (Etisalat) was offering, and it's network dependant and supported by all phones.

I have seen them but not tried them, also you pay(in the uk)for the cost of the forwarded call, & single sims with more than 1 number on it doesn`t work on later type simcards ( according to the sellers of these sims website). |

Ehsan,
i dont buy into what u r saying. Etisalat doesnt have that service where u could use 1 sim card for 2 separate #s. I wish we had something liek it where i could have one sim card for 2 numbers where i could switch between numbers for outgoing calls. I have a work # also and i need both numbers when i make calls so my work calls would get charged on my work #. |

Dual SIM card (or dual IMSI) is SIM toolkit based application and it should work on any STK (SIM toolkit) enabled phone. Even if the phone doesn`t support STK separate lines can be accessed by turning the phone off and on and by inputing PIN. Each line has it`s own PIN. Hope this clears up this issue... |

Just upgraded to P800 only to find it does not support Line 2. Confirmed by both Orange and Sony Ericsson. - Any ideas |
