Well, it's smaller in one of three dimensions. What about the others? |

So anyway, Nexus One anyone? http://www.crunchbase.com/product/nexus-one
This is the official "Google phone", will be in shops in January, runs a Snapdragon chip with an OLED screen, features a mic for noise cancelling, and is going to be - well - big. Oh, and it'll be running Android 2.1 out of the box, natch.
Is February still looking good for the X10?

LOL!!Let this phone be announced first.Dont think the partners would take it too lightly to Google developing a phone ATM!!
If its a google phone, it would kill all partners regarding Android!! Not just SE. And I still say, the 8 mp will be a switching factor for many. |

I doubt X10 will survive in such heavy competiton. no dount it's a great phone but it's got a long way to go.
T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max |

Sorry, there's no question that it exists, the FCC have even approved it already - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/te[....]hone-granted-FCC-approval.html - have they done that for the X10?
Google have also given handsets out to many of their employees for testing - there are pictures and videos all over Twitter etc. All very viral, clever marketing really.
You have to forget this SE way of thinking, where nothing can come to market without an announcement of an announcement, an announcement, a product blog, and at least a six month wait while they build the thing - it's quite common for other companies not to announce anything until they're actually ready to ship.

@Boinng, I still would pick the X10. That Nexus looks awfully much like a regular bland looking HTC.
If Sony Ericsson intend to release Android 2.0 support it will all be fine. For now it inclines pretty much to that.

I agree it looks a bit bland in the pics, but apparently it's "slimmer than the iPhone", and forget an update to 2.0 - this will have 2.1 out of the box. More importantly, it's going to have an almighty Google marketing push behind it, so frankly, the X10 will be left to the SE fans around here only - forget about the mass market. They just bought the Nexus One.

Its probably going to be a US launch at first so X10 can have the Europe market share when it comes out in January. |

Who says it won't be global? HTC (the manufacturers) are certainly capable of a global release, and Google is a pretty global company.

Could I suggest that we discuss the New Google phone elsewhere as this is for the disucssion of the X10
Thanks

Going from 2.0 to 2.1 is only a minor update. It would of course have been nice to see 2.1 in the X10 too.
I'm pretty convinced we will see 2.1 for X10 too.

I don't see Google going for anything less than a global launch. If it was me I would be aiming at attracting those who for one reason or another don't want the Apple product, I would certainly not be giving anyone a free run at any market.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |
