Hi guys.. I have been a SE fanatic since the beginning... My first mobile was a SE and now here I am living with my 16th Sony Ericsson mobile, W995 . I have never owned a Nokia, samsung or other brands (except for a motorola which i used for a few months) And this is my experience with W995 so far ...

What I like :
- Good battery life, Decent large display
- Improvised & Fast interface ( i hav always loved d SE interface )
- GPS & Wifi are really cool . Been using a lotta gps lately and i love it. Surprised to see the extreme details with wayfinder . Perhaps soon it might even help me to navigate within my house room to room
- Good speakers

What I dont like :
- Its the most expensive fone i ever purchased yet i am not happy with its look & design
- Phone feels heavy and has poor ergonomics. Ther r buttons all around the fone and i tend to press one of em accidentally but when i wanna press anything specific, found it awkwardly placed (esp the volume buttons). Found it very annoyin
- In slide open position, my index finger would always lie over camera lens. Doesnt the 8 MP cam deserve a lil respect, atleast by having a lid
- Disappointed with d Camera, sometimes i wonder if theres really a 8 MP cam. some of the pics taken with a 3.2 MP cam mobile look much better. Sometimes the autoflash wont trigger in darker conditions. Tried the twilight landscape mode and the viewfinder framerate drops to like 1/second.. (Video gets jerky and too lagging) Maybe I hav to learn to configure a bit and a bit of photography too
- Slide is a bit shaky and it annoys a lot... my old w580 had a fantastic slider and it stood intact even after suffering multiple accidents
- Using Wifi would drain the battery to zero in a few hours
- Sim card slot is very tricky .. sometimes the SIM wouldn`t get released. Once i had to use a toothed surgical forceps to pull out my sim . The same goes with the battery too.
- the sidekick stand feels very cheap, nevertheless the d-pad buttons & the body of the fone
- Not able to add animations to sms text.. when i try to add simple SE animations, it gets transformed into a mms
- Charging port is awkwardly placed and i could not hav the charger ON & use the kickstand at the sametime

There are other drawbacks too, but overall I would say that the King of the Walkman isn`t upto my expectation.

would like to hear from other W995 users bout their experiences

Well i used to have one and i found it quite reliable but with terrible build quality. Poor slide and loose battery cover. Camera not as great as expected but better than most. I did not like the placement of the Walkman key i always knocked it and its over sensitive. Never had a problem with the look and feel. I think its looks lovely and the slightly heavy feel gives it an overall quality feel.
Phone?? What phone??

Most of the things u mentioned dont bother me. Build quality is NOT bad. You should try playing with the camera settings, you'll be alot happier with your camera.

I've always been able to take great pics. People have no respect for its capable cam module. Observe these rules and take great pictures:
1) Wipe the lense EVERY SINGLE TIME you pull it out for a snap. It doesn't take a genius to know crap pics comes out of greasy lense
2) ALWAYS set the white balance according to the ambience.
3) Eliminate purple fringing by setting the EV to avoid over exposure and to lessen noise levels
4) It helps to have steady hands for evening/low light shots. Work out a stable hold to achieve this if they're a shaky pair.

The rest is up to your imagination and opportunities that you grab
