Satio questions |

I am thinking about buying a Satio, but I have a few questions:
- Do the themes also apply to the SE homescreens (with the 5 tabs)
- With what themes does the Satio come by default, can somebody post some screenshots ?
- How is the sound level when listenening to music, with the supplied headset and a bluetooth one? (my P1i has always been too quiet for me)
- How do you get back to the standby/home screen? With the end key?
- How does the PC Suite work? is if fast? (PC Suite for P1i is very slow and a resource hog)
Thx!

A. You can customise the home screen irrespective of the theme. ONly the wallpaper of the theme comes there.
SE gives option to use SE, Finger Touch, Basic, Navigation Bar, Full Page. This option is available under themes - standby theme and can be customised with any theme. Further more you can customise each standby selected.
- With what themes does the Satio come by default, can somebody post some screenshots ?
A. It comes with Unlimited, Clarity and Mosiac Themes. Will post screenshots maybe later
- How is the sound level when listenening to music, with the supplied headset and a bluetooth one? (my P1i has always been too quiet for me)
A. Sound Volume is a little less than what my w910 used to give. There are no equalizer settings for mega bass or any such thing. But Clarity is superb. If you are in a very noisy place, you will get out side sound coming in. In medium to no moise, you will enjoy listening to the music. I am using the HBH IS800
- How do you get back to the standby/home screen? With the end key?
A. Yes
- How does the PC Suite work? is if fast? (PC Suite for P1i is very slow and a resource hog)
A. Yes, it is improved. Media Go is also nice.

Just to point out if you use the end key (assumung you mean the red end call key) then you wont be closing down applications properly and will have all kinds of issues...
For example, if you use the end key to exit a web browser, then it will stay running in the backround causing you to stay connected to the interent and could face further data charges as web pages auto refresh etc or if you use the end key to exit certain areas of the handset then it will still have whatever you were viewing running minimised in the backround and then the only way to end them would be to press and hold the menu key to view what applications are running and to end them manually....
If you were to just use the end key you would seriously slow down your handset with them all running in the backround.
I recommend using the bottom right part of the screen buttons which will normally have 'back' or 'exit' or 'close' on it to correctly end whatever you are viewing at the time.

Ah! thx!
I know the P1i was very low on volume compared to the walkman phones. Perhaps the Satio will be OK for me than.
I understand the point about the back/exit/close, it's the same on P1i.
Some screenpost of the themes would be great!
Do the other home screens add anything or is the default 5-tab one clearly the most usefull? |

Got some time saved clicking screenshots of themes.
Found some on the net:

The themes do look good.
Another question.
My experience with the P1i is that the mail app is painfully slow. It takes ages to update the list of mails and scroll.
I bought profimail and this works lightning fast. But the UI is different from the rest of the device and not too well integrated.
How fast is the mail client in the Satio? Fast enough for hundreds of mails in the list?
Is it really snappy?
BTW I have ordered the Satio ! |

Default mail is like any other email client you can find on a s60 platform or even a se phone.
However i am using an exchange server for my emails. The phone comes with RoadSync Installed, which is way better than The Default Mail for Exchange that comes with the S60 on Nokia and other S60 5th Edition Phones. |

Anyone having problems with clarity through BT earpeice ?
I'm using my old Jabra that I had with my K850i but the sound quality is dreadful, at times Im struggling to hear the other person. Interestingly the person on the other end says the call is clearer at their end than my old phone.
What are others using and if I was to buy a new one does it make any difference that the phone is symbian,
with Satio being so new it's not going to be listed as compatible yet, sorry if this is a stupid question. |

I have a Jabra 3030 (dogtag BT headset) and it works as a charm, no sound quality issues! |
