based on experience, you have to subscribe to globe's personal blackberry service so that the settings is sent over the air-e.g. if you got an opened line unit. if it is globe locked, then a prepaid globe sim would work (fingers crossed).

i have a BlackBerry™ 6720 from Smart Communications, Inc. but it was open lined.. I've tried to call Globe Telecom's Customer Service about the settings of the BB but the customer service representative said that they have no configuration settings for any BlackBerry smartphones.. I also tried to go to the customer service of Smart and they told me that I have to get a BB plan.. so you need to pay monthly for the settings..

This is what I don't like in a BlackBerry™ smartphones.. They don't want their users to configure their preferred internet settings..

it is also impossible for BlackBerry users to do the Free Browsing Trick! =(

Thanks for your post. Is there no other way to fix this?
