I have a dilema and really dont know what to pick, these are the reasons why i like and dislike the aino and satio, what do you think i should go for? If not one of these perhaps another manufacturer ?

Aino
Like
-Simple easy to use A200 platform
-Large screen
-Nice design
-Comes with headset and stand
-PS3 integration
Dislike
-Unlogical touch ui, e.g. In music player can only view albums if using the touch inteface, not by artist.
-Mediocre camera
-Flash (not exeon)
-In touch ui can only use the phone landscape
-Feel somewhat ripped off when over time im unlikley to use the touch ui as i only really bother with music on my phone.
-Expenisve (400)

Satio
Like
-12mp camera
-Exeon flash
-Nice multimedia interface
-Touchscreen
Dislike
-S60 interface unlogical
-Resistive touch screen
-Smart phone so generally slower

I get your problem mate. I banned Satio for being Symbian. I have doubts about Rachael because of the size and Aino is a little behind with it's camera. For the moment I still vote for Aino, based on sound and design.

I don't know. Well, if you buy the Aino and don't like it, I'm here to be offered

I was torn at this junction too, and for the same reasons, but went for Aino for the following:

- Aino in white is so much sexier than either Satio colour
- I found somewhere to get it for ~305 (I was in China at the time)
- The touchscreen is useable in aplications that are written with touchscreen in mind and works a treat e.g. gmail app, Opera Mini 5 beta.

I did however find a couple of surprises that haven't broken my love but have changed the way I use the phone.

- The camera features are limited compared to the very used camera of my C905. There's no panoramic, bestpic or frames and the scene settings are fewer.
- The touch media player is only available when the slider is closed and only in landscape.
- The accelerometer data isn't accessed by some applications e.g. opera mini doesn't autorotate but does on other phones.

It is a huge step forward for A200 based phones and one of the best around without a doubt. The bugs are fewer than C905 and K850 on release and I can only hope for more features in future updates like the accelerometer being sorted in apps and a rotatable touch media player or even a full touch menu system. The hardware is there for the menus to be touch and they can easily drop an option in to disable it for those who don't want it, so I can't see why it wouldn't come in as an Aino+ like the C905+ had the upgrade with face detection, smile shutter and text conversations. Of course, I wouldn't buy the phone for just the hope it would get better.

Another thing I considered is that the OS is one that I'm used to modding and there are many documents and support guides to modding, updating, changing CDA etc etc etc. I was always wary of not knowing what to do with Symbian or indeed any other OS. I remember owning an LG Viewty for a week but getting so frustrated with the OS and lack of support in debranding and upgrading firmware that I gave it away. I know LG's OS is hardly a beacon of awesomeness but it's scared me away from anything non A200 based. I had a similar experience with my old X1 and Windows and my old G900 with UIQ.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my Aino and it impressed some of my iPhone donning friends (all 5 of my closest friends and their partners have iPhones, it's sooo annoying at dinner parties). I remember saying when I got my C905 this time last year that I would probably not change my phone for 3 or 4 years but Aino tempted me with the regular keypad AND touchscreen which was bigger than the C905.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

I am. iPhone's 3.5" screen is still too small.

Okay well, i have decided to cross the aino of my list. So all that is left is the Satio, but seen as the X2 will be released on the 6th of November i might as well have a look at that, the new SE ui is more intresting than the one on the satio. The UI on the X2 (by what ive seen on you tube) looks so nice and the transitons are pretty cool. If WM is skinned up enough and the text messaging interface has changed i will get an X2. Rachel sounds nice but 4.1 inch is too big.

So X2 or Satio

Had the Satio for a couple of days and gave up. I like the simplicity and speed of A200... Symbian 60 v5 feels clunky and heavy. If you're patient with it, you can get a lot more from it being a 'smart phone'... Just felt too, uhm, Nokia.

I dont get whats so "unlogical" about s60 symbian when you can totaly rearrange the entire Menu and folders to what you want without even needing to hack or mod anyway id say get the SE XPERIA X2 sounds like you'd be happier with it. From the sounds of things i would say SE seem to have screwed up the Satio.

SE certainly have screwed up the S60 implementation .... there's very
little you can do to "configure" the UI the way you'd like it
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

The major thing that really turned me off with the Aino was the single click-double click thing... Some files or folders you open with a single click, some have to be clicked twice...
