Hi,

After a bit of research i've decided to purchase a pair of sennheiser CX-500 earphones.

I have a amazon £50 gift card so im inclined to purchase them from their. However from what ive read on the internet there are a lot of fakes flying around on amazon (private dealers). SO this is a shot in the dark, but has any1 on here bought a pair of sennheisers from any1 on amazon? like Planet Gizmo, BagNew, eoutlet -UK

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennh[....]=generic&qid=1255879401&sr=1-1

Any help is much appreciated
Thanks

i bought my CX-400's from amazon and i'm very happy with them. amazon itself is a reputable seller and gets its stuff directly from the distributors for the most part, so if you buy from them, you should be ok. mind you, that is different from buying from the 3rd party vendors who also sell on amazon.

I got my CX400s from BagNow through Amazon, and I'm about 98% sure they're genuine.

Yeah i dont think these particular headphones are available from amazon themselves. Buying from 3rd party marketplace is a bit of a risk i guess

Ahh i went thru the feedback comments for the different sellers and was left with BagNow and Planet Gizmo to decide between. i ended up placing an order with them last night... touch wood they will be genuine!

What makes u 2% unsure? Usually the sound quality is a giveaway

Sound quality is good, it's just that the cables feel a bit sh!t. They're a bit.... wiry, if you know what I mean. Doesn't feel like a cable from a set of Apple earphones, for example. I dunno, maybe that's just how they should be. The packaging was perfect, and the actual build quality of the buds looks as though it's authentic.

(sorry for the poor focussing; the N78's macro mode isn't the best)
