Hey people i have got a new job interview this week on Wednesday. I am already in a job as a Head Concierge/Duty Manager in a 4 star hotel. But this job is down on the south coast in the town of Hastings. It is a live in job in a newly refurbished hotel. Wish me luck guys i am very excited about living on the coast again My current long distance relationship with my girlfriend in Hampshire is kind of on hold for a while. We are still in touch for future but she wants more time with her kids and on her own. Selfish cow lol just kidding i do love her. But i still wish to get out of Birmingham again as its just so depressing here i detest the place. Dont get me wrong there are nice places to live in Birmingham but its not for me anymore. The hotel i am going for the interview is only a small 12 bedroomed place and i shall be looking after the place in the evening time. Easy. I already work in a place with over 112 rooms. There is a flat above the hotel where i shall live. Fingers crossed for this i been trying to get out again for ages. Still wish though my parents had stayed in Ireland when i was little. Over in Ireland now its worse than the UK with the credit crisis and so expensive to live Wish me luck anyway

Good luck to you Sean.
It's good that your making the effort to move to a better place for yourself and I hope it works out perfectly for you. I too like living near the sea - coastal places just have a different feel about them.

Cheers mate. Yeah i love the freedom and fresh air and the feeling of 10,000 acres of sky to breath. Hate the city though its only nice sometimes. Hey Goldenface i missed out the chance to visit Liverpool years ago when my friends went as i was ill. I wanted to see The Beatles expedition. But yeah i am really going to make an impression with the interview as the female owner is already keen because of my years of hotel experience. I am not nervous i have conducted interviews myself. Oh i forgot to say the owner is letting me stay overnight for free because i am going all that way for an interview i was shocked so its a nice short break too. Going to check to see what the best network is down there for coverage just in case i am successful.

Ok i had my interview down here in Hastings @ 1pm today. It went very well. The job is just looking after the 12 bedroomed hotel right on sea front in the evening. They are also in the property business. They are very keen on employing me what i can see the job should start in a months time. With the job comes a studio flat underneath the hotel with rent council tax gas electric and everything paid for with some wages. The flat is also right on sea front. Very nice posh hotel refurbished to 4 star rating. I am extremely hopeful. I just also found out that Orange signal right in the hotel and where the flat is currently being done up is awful. I get one bar signal. Vodafone and 3UK are best for signal here i am told. I have to lean out of hotel window to get Orange signal but its fine in town centre. Not sure about O2 or T Mobile. So i shall keep ya posted just going to enjoy the rest of my evening and most of tomorrow here now. Ciao.

Oh yes its posh hotel recently done up and if i get it i shall have a nice studio flat on the sea front. Hihi lol my studio flat will be underneath the hotel so its below sea level. I shall be just about on your sea level overs in Holland ha ha hihi But yes i am dying for this job and to move. My chances are high because i have years of hotel experience plus all the other applicants so far have come from a factory background. So it puts me in a better stronger position. Also they whoever gets it its live in position anyway so its no matter where your from if your local or where i am in Birmingham. Just on my way home now did not wanna say goodbye to the sea.

so we can wave beneath the waves? the sea is nice, I live approximate 20 KM from the sea. And go there regulary, in the evening after a hot day, and when there is a little storm. Get your ears frozen off, your mind blown clear, and a hot choco afterwards.

Googled. Pretty town, I think I could live there. I like old towns, small roads, alleys, and the atmosphere of centuries past.

best of luck to ya mate.i know how it is with hotel work. I use to manage a 400 room 4 star hotel in surrey a few years back...hated conference and banquetting lol. Anyhow, a fresh start will probably do you some good. Plus, with a smaller workplace, your looking at an easier work life. Never a bad thing, especially when you could do the job stood on your head. As for birmingham, i have to agree...i hate it. I use to see a bird who lived near the bullring...via coach from blackpool. It was depressing..the place that is lol. Get the hell outta there mate...lol. |

Yes it is very depressing Birmingham i cant wait to get out. Even if i dont get this job i will keep trying i refuse to stay here for my health. As for the sea i love it even in winter fresh air bracing winds and lots of nice walks. Hihihans yes Hastings its the town of the famous Battle of Hastings in 1066. Its one seaside town which is not run down like some. The beach is pebbles not soft sand but who cares. As for Birmingham there are a few posh areas but they are few and i just am sick of the city. Rude people with depressed look on their faces though on the way i had to go through London Underground. God everyone looks depressed on the underground. Its so hot down there too its a right runaround. I think though if you try hard enough in life you can achieve what you want. Just get out there and do it. Its a free world i can freely go and live in most places i wish to so why not. If the sea level rises my studio flat if i get the job will be flooded first Anyway i should know within a weeks time but i am very hopeful they seemed to really like me and my experience.

Yeah go go!! The south east of England where Hastings is its quite low lying in parts but not all. There is a hill in Hastings with a castle on. If the sea floods the land in future i shall claim that hill as my home i shall run for the hills and claim victory Its not far from Brighton and Eastbourne. I was frustrated because in the end i found out Orange Vodafone O2 3UK and T Mobile all have great signal there. The only problem is the walls are so thick in the hotel plus my flat will be below ground no signal gets through Imagine having to go outside to use your phone. But i think with the way of life there and becoming probably more busy i shall be using my phone alot less. Phones reception is great in the town but nothing in the hotel I am so praying i get this job though it will change my life
