The only people I've seen really make a fuss over this phone is the Americans. And I guess that's partly because the phone is American and they think a 3MP camera and basic 3G is amazing.

Glad you like it. Would love to hear your own review about it. To be honest out of all the so called Iphone Killers. Most people say this the handset that will do it. Maybe because it has been designed by some ex Apple employee's.

Im one of the few here who realy wants this. After seeing the Dogfights of it against iPhone3GS and HTC Hero at Phonedog.com ,i felt that out of all these hyped up new OS phones, the Palm Pre had everything i wanted. I wonder if it will ever make it to SA.

So why did O2 make such a big fuss about this phone if its nothing special features wise? Sorry i have not read up much on it. What operating system does it run on?

I highly recommend going to YouTube type in: 'Palm Pre Phonedog' there wil be a bunch of video reviews as well as side by side comparisons with iPhone and a 3part review of Palm Pre vs. Hero. Enjoy.

I would have gone for the pre if it was not a slider handset. Even though the N97 I have ordered is kinda a slide, i don't like the look of the pre lol but good handset I have heard though. |

Oh cool will look at that. I guess we can be converted. I think it was just the look of it that put me off and i never really read much about it not knowing what all the fuss was about.

Played on one in an o2 shop today. The OS is stunning, very very nice. Doesn't come close to replacing my 3GS though
