Everything I am going to write is absolutely true (No exaggeration at all)
I managed to fool all the people using Nokia phones and convinced them to dispose off their Nokiaˇ¦s and buy SE.

Ok I used a software (If anyone wants to know which one, email me) with my R520m to send SMS. The software has the option to change SMS coding scheme. So you can send messages that are usually sent by the networks i.e. Voice mail, fax and email notifications. best of all the receiver does not get the CLI mobile number as the message is sent as a flash message.

I work in telecommunication industry in Pakistan.
I sent the voice mail, fax and email active notification messages to all of my colleagues who were using Nokia handsets. These notification messages activate three different icons on the mobile screen and you cant get rid of then even if you master rest your phone. You can only deactivate them by sending inactive SMSs to these numbers again.

I went to one of my colleagues and told him that there is a new Nokia Virus which is spreading fast. Once the phone becomes infected with it different icons appear on the phone and then after some time the phone simply dies so it is advisable to remove the SIM from the phone.

Later in the evening I was shocked to see majority of these people were using SE phones and remaining had their phone switched off. Many people also contacted Nokia dealers and they had no answer to that. It was hilarious actually!!! But that is not it. I went to a market that has quite a few mobile phone shops, everyone there was also talking about the Nokia Virus.

While I was standing in one of the shop a guy came running in and said he wants to sell his almost new 6310i, but shop offered Rs.3000 (30 UK pounds) and the person agreed to that price. I was astonished, I asked the guy why sell it at such a low price he told me that he sold it because of the virus threat. He bought t68i

I've a 'cure' for your 'virus' which is simply to lodge in a different/another sim to the unit which is 'infected'. Turn the phone on, get it to warm up, then turn it off again and remove then replace the sim with that of the original sim of the owner. Turn the unit on and the 'foreign' icons will have been removed.

Did anyone tell you that you are bad??

I work for an operator in Icleand and we have had waves of bullshit similar to this!

These icons were very popular, the Preset User group was particularly popular also.

phew! The ignorance of people! This Nokia Virus is an RTFM issue.

Your are retarted!!!!!! You actually wasted your time doing this??? I know that some people don't like Nokia, But No one else here would try to sabadoge someone else's phone... That is horrible, You made that man waste his money to buy a t68i??? Everyone has there preference on which mobile who are you to try and tell them what they should and should not use!! leave it up to them to decide....There is nothing wrong with someone wanting a Nokia phone, Just because you don't want them to have one doesn't make any difference. I'm sorry to sound like a jerk But you my friend tool that one a little to FAR!

That is way over the top.
Using peoples ignorance like that is sad.
Bluejacking, i can live with people doing, i do it myself. Bogus viruses is out of line. Hope that some really nice guy or gal takes you for a ride one day. Then YOU will know how the people who think of you as a friend will feel when they find out what you have done to them.

Hey there- i knew the way how to do that since nokia 5110 came to the market-it is nothing bad-don't blame him for that! That icons makes no harm! I think that it is ok to say that and it could be like \"police radar detector in nokia\" that was the main topic on the usenet in Poland several years ago (somebody mentioned that by pointing on the close group). Just a funny silly thing. Stay CALM! Peace,Love,SonyEricsson!;-) Regards! Peter
