I dont know if it is just me but i think that current technology or better way to put it, this year technology lack wow factor except oled tv. man that is one slim tv and maybe flash memory (SSD).
im talking about mobile phones, computers and cars.
what is top mobile today. iphone, omnia i8910 or htc hd2 but there is no more wow factor even with lg's new crystal, b40 or sony ericssons xperia pureness. for mobile the wow factor would be lte network, some SERIOUS gpu hardcore, some crisp UI and some advance design like concept phones. im talking about very serious gpu for mobile technology. anything else is waist of money.
what about pc well there isnt any wow factor at all even if there is some fancy double screen laptop or slim design because it was already there. the only wow factor by some procent was that microsoft touchscreen table. i was reading somewhere about new internet search engine that answer your question. now that is some serious wow factor but its in early stage of development.
what about cars. well plenty of improvements over the 100 years but the engine is the same and electric car isnt so reliable. short distance and long charge time.
well some people would say that im complaining alot. but without complaining there is no improvement so if this is it, the great satisfaction by someone who accept everything or telling a lie that we should be greatful. there was no need to imrove the technology 200 years ago if that was the case.
p.s i almost forgot to put wireless charging, now that is sweet wow factor
