Hi, as the subject says, I'm curious as to wheter we are able to send emails via WiFi using A2 phones... if so, could you point me to a guide on how to configure connection parameters?

Thanks in advance!

yes. wifi is just another data connection.

assuming you have a working wifi connection, i.e. you can browse etc, then your concern will be the email settings

the pop3 settings for incoming mail always remains the same as what your email account provider specified, and can be configured to whatever you use on your home pc.

the smtp setting is the tricky one as this generally needs to be configured to the smtp of the service provider you are currently connected through, be that the network operator (o2, vodafone etc) if you are accessing via gprs or 3g, or the provider that is providing the wifi service such as your home brandband or the provider of the service if you are in a cafe, for example.

The need to change smtp with each different connection can usually be overcome by configuring your smtp to access your actual email account providers smtp service but this will only work if you access it via a secure connection. on my w890, for example, this is achieved in the smtp tab of the email account settings by setting SMTP authentication to be the same as POP3

well in the new phones all you have to do is put in you email-id and passwords and it downloads all the above settings by itself...so its really very simple to setup.
