Hi all.

I want to know how can I uninstall via a2 or any other way a preinstalled java application on my w715 phone.

Why? I want to update the wayfinder app, but I can't.

Is there any file containing the installed programs database? Or is there a installed programs folder?

Thank you very much!

They are in tpa/preset/system/ams
Right-click on the preinstalled jad/jad and remove read-only protection.
Shutdown A2
Boot your phone and delete the applications in the usual way.

It didn't work, :/

But i'm triying another way, reflashing the phone modifiying the file: /tpa/preset/default/default.xml

the line 126 (the wayfinder jar/jad app line) has got this:

midlet deletable="true" upgradeable="true" install="true" folder="applications"

Just modifying the "deleteable" value to "true" should work... I will try it now.

ok, can't update this way, but the option to delete it is active.

I'm triying to delete it right now.... ok, deleted.

ok, now it installs correctly!

you can even delete the full line about preinstalling the jar to acheive this.

I know this thread is old, but I am looking to delete some pre-installed apps.
I tried just editing the default.xml , but that didn't do anything.

Is there another way to update the default.xml?

thanks
