Hi,

I'm a Hotlink 012 prepaid customer for for 6 years. Recently my sim card is having problem. It keep displaying 'inactivate sim card'. I've tried to change the sim card to other handphones but the problem still persist. So, I went to maxis centre to buy a new sim card. After a few days my handphone start to indicate 'inactivate sim card' again even I changed it to other handphones. I then went to Maxis centre and changed the sim card again. A few days later, the same problem happened 'inactivate sim card'. I had make many calls to the maxis customer care consultant, but all they say is 'go to the maxis centre and change to a new sim card'. Wow~ what if I have emergency calls to make? or anyone need to contact me urgently?

I'm so tired and disappointed as I pay RM25 for the new sim card and I went to change it 2 times but still giving me this problem.
I still hope that I can use Hotlink because my family all are using Hotlink so call them & sms cheaper.

Do anyone here have any solution? Anyone have this problem before? Please please help me..................sigh so desperate for help............. Your reply is very very appreciated...thkx~

Don't you have to activate/register a newly purchased number in your country?

Ai, this is a hard one. It looks like your phone is killing the Sim. I usually advice to put a piece of paper behind the Sim. What phone do you use? Have you tried an other providers sim?

Really? I've ask many people..some tell me that my phone may be corrupt the sim card.. but if it's really corrupted, why I still can use my phone after restarting?

Whats the use if I put a piece of paper behind the sim?to make it tighter? Maybe I should try it.. By the way, i'm using SE Z610i(1 year old) and have not try any other provider sim...

Thx a lot for ur reply...^^

Yes, paper is make sure your Sim stays in it's place. An other guess is to update your phone with latest FirmWare, or as it allready has, reinstall. Just to make sure it's not your phone that kills your Sim.
