Oh yes, I'm referring to my on and off girlfriend that is SE!
While I agree with you that other manufacturers do announce and release somewhat later bar Apple but SE have these insane early
leaks and then take more than enough time to release (more than any other manufacturer) and then still have more issues than most manufacturers.
I still hope they come through and be profitable while also giving us great products but from where I stand it looks bleak. Like I pointed out, they are like a girl I love that keeps disappointing me often. My patience is at its lowest ever and if they fail to make any improvements soon they'll be a memory for sure.

whilst i like the Nexus i am still holding out on Android prob till end of this year...
why? well its still a fledgeling OS and whilst its crept past winmo and is steadily catching the other guys i think phones being released now have nothing ultra special to offer other over OS's which are more established...
I can foresee some big things happening with Android but manufacturers need to stop missing things out like multitouch etc before release... i know it can be added but its nice out of the box isnt it?
Anyways nice phone google and lets see some great reviews!
P.S. i agree that if SE release the X10 with anything less than Android 2 they are on for an epic fail... |

I agree!
As much as I like Android I think the OS still needs to settle in a little bit. I believe by next year it'll be more of a leader. Hopefully, the phones coming later this year will bring some excitement.

Mine is on order and will be replacing the Hero, the screen size and multicoloured trackball sold it for me!
I think the X10 will be a strong contender if it is released Q1 of this year, after that I see Nexus 2 coming amongst others as this is just the beginning for Google. I personally cannot see bringing the X10 to market with 1.6, but with either 2.0 or 2.1, if they use 2.1 which will be available to manufacturers in the next few days and decide to go with it, it could be a while longer before release.
Haven't Vodafone dropped the X2 exclusivity today due to taking to long to bring it to market?

i think it was snoflake that said that the accelerometer, and gps were pioneered by apple iphone. i'm pretty sure quite a few nokia handsets had both of these before apple's iphone. regardless, when somebody picks up this handset can you please post initial impressions of the os itself. and i agree with voda_jon. it'll be interesting to see how android has evolved over the course of the year. |

Yes I think the Nokia N95 pioneered all 3 long before the iPhone.
Android started off on a good footing, has gotten betterer and will continue to do so, I'm happy for Android and I'm happy for iPhone, I just prefer to be able to multi task over pinch and zoom.

@jj03 - Not I, I think was probably the N95 although wouldn't dare get into a geek pi**ing contest as to which phone/manf was first with those features.
Should be noted that N95 was announced in Sep2006 and rel'd in Mar2007 whilst iPhone was announced Jan2007 just before CES and rel'd Jun2007 so it was only 3 months lead on the accelorometer although obviously it didn't get GPS until the 3G so 1year+ lead on that
