I'm looking at upgrading and I've looked a few phones but they are all massive!
- TG01
- iPhone
- Satio
- BL40
They are all silly big... why oh why can't they make an all singing all dancing phone in a small box?

what these have in common is good size screens and I guess that is the trend these days.
as long as they remain thin, I'm happy to give up a little height and width to have that bigger screen for browsing, playing and video

Like Masseur said, multimedia is king, so screens are getting bigger, but i can forgo a little screen size for something that does not make me look like i'm suffering from a priapism

It's all about screens and cams. But you're right 5 years ago you didn't want to be seen with todays sized phones. Another answer : retro. (Think back 10 years)

Screens baby, screens. I rather have an almost all screen phone than one with buttons and I want to have as much screen as possible. I believe that that is the main reason as with so many others.
It is the screen.

Until we find a way to get a 4 inch screen to fold in half big but thin phones are going to be a trend. Think of it as the reinvention of the phone. |

Mobile manufacturer still produces small, stylish handsets. But please don't say that you want an HD on 2'2 inch screen. |

Certainly we are going to see more HD phones so no way the manufacturers are going to squeeze HD's onto tiny screens. Phones won't be getting bigger than what they are on average right now though.

Screens will get bigger and phones will have less and less buttons and space for pointless huge logos. Has anyone seen the logo on the bottom of the LGBL40 phone. Its so big they could have cut down the extra space with a small logo but still same huge screen.
