Sony 580i not downloading music |

Hi,
Trying to sort this problem out for my son - have downloaded the upto date software needed for this phone via official sony website -ie pc sony suite version 6. Followed all the instructions as prompted etc.
Problem is when he tries to transfer music files within windows media player he drags them across to the right but says their is no phone connected even though it is ie plugged in via USB cable.
Any ideas would be appreciated. |

hi
why would you need to do this via windows media player when you can do it easily via "my pc"?
connect the phone in mass storage mode.

Hi! when phone is connected it must show this menu : 1.Phone mode 2.File transfer choose file transfer thats on the phone, then on the pc open the pc suit click on file transfer. If this dont work try connection test or connection wizard  |

If the above suggestion does not work, and it does not show the menu, try a different usb wire, as it is very common cause.
