C905: No task due notifications while phone is off? |

Hi folks,
I have an issue with task notifications on my C905a, FW R1FA035. Basically, under Tasks -> Options -> Advanced -> Reminders, there is an option to set task reminders to Always (as opposed to the default, If phone is on). While this does wake up the phone when the task is due, it does not play any sound! In fact, as soon as I press any key, the phone simply shuts down again.
Yes, I double-checked that the phone is not in silent mode. Moreover, calendar entry notifications work just fine; the phone wakes up and plays the calendar chime once, as it should.
I contacted SE tech support about this issue; I did get the following response:
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Online Support.
When you set up a reminder for a task or a calendar, the phone will vibrate and sound once. If the phone is turned off, it will turn on (with the options Always selected from the reminders menu) when the time is up. If your phone is not sounding when the reminder is activated is because the phone is in silent mode.
To disable the silent mode you have to press and hold the # button from the stand by mode. Once you deactivate the slient mode you have to test the reminder again and if the phone doesn't sound, you need to perform a software update. The software update for your phone is available at: http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]pdateservice/c905a?lc=en&cc=us
If your phone has the latest software update, you can contact us at the phone number listed below for further options.
Rather clueless, but at least a response!
My question is whether anyone actually has this working? If so, what firmware version are you using?
Thanks in advance!

I have a c510a and my tasks are working fine. My firmware is R1FA035 too, but not the same phone. I know it's not a C905a but i'm just trying to help.

Thanks, tranced.
I am going to try different firmware on my phone to see. I already went back from R1FA035 to R1EA033, both "AMERICAS" from WotanServer.com -- same issue. This time I'll try going the change CDA + SEUS route.
