I have tried and failed to find the song playing behind the legendary but now dead DJ Froggy.

It was recorded some 25 odd years ago off of the short lived Froggy show on London's Capital Radio.

I have asked on different Soul/Funk forums but no help, link below to 25 second clip of the offending music.

Google brings up feck all of any use even 80's soul DJ's have come up blank.

Please someone tell me the name of it, even the ID software like Shazam and the like don't know it.

Nope tried that one, the Jermaine Jackson one sound more like Hall and Oates Man Eater.
