I've been searching all over the forum 4 download tricks on OM 2.06, 4.2 & 5b.
The current tricks seem to be more relevent for Naija & NOT for my South African Networks.

ok.. i'm seen that your trick for free browsing, is: live.vodafone.com@operaminiserver/ ... so, to be able to download free.. you should add your trick, in front of any download link, before starting downloading. that with opera mod 2.06.. and it's very hard to do that every time you want to download something... but i have a knowledge for you/ hehehe../ i will search for a download link for a modded opera 5 beta.

this is the link: http://ufym.net/f/149264/ then install it, after you launch it.. a window will appear, to edit the server,. so, edit the server what you use(HTTP, or SOCKET), with your trick... then go to 'frontQuery' case, and write your trick like this: ''live.vodafone.com@'' and press ok.. then you can browse and download for free...

NOT WORKING FOR ME
Thanx 4 the reply bro but i still don't seem 2 get it. Am i dumb or what?
I've put the trick on the FrontQuery column & also tried the dot version of the trick but still none of it seems to work. I get some 'Proxy Error' Massage and when it does download a file i get charged.
What am i doing wrong

I think your operator, block downloading with this trick.. Try to spoofing the server by a transparent ips...For that, i have found this message in another site:
1. Enter "3g.myglobe.com.ph@" or "wapx.amob.com@" or any freesites at the Downloading Tricks field box. (Quotations excluded).

2. Try these Transparent Ips for downloading:
148.233.159.58 :8080(Mex1)
148.233.229.235 :80
(Mex2)
116.93.16.20 :8080

@med - Thanx 4 hlp bro. I can now download on OM using [ live.vodafone.com. ] Trick. The only problem is that the downloading is handled by my phone browse thus i can't dwnld unsupported file formats like .exe, .zip & .rar
Is there any way around this?

If your phone doesnt support those files,I think there is no way for dwnloading them.

Anyway, i've been downloading all this filetype via UCWEB's dwnld manager for a while now but the prblm is its not free.
I'm know some1 outthere can hlp.

[/quote] if you have a symbian phone, try to install winrar for mobile.. than you can download .zip .rar, or connect your phone with your pc. and by using your trick on the pc.. you can download from there any type of file... that's what i'm using.. hehehe

for downloading.. it depend on you network, speed.. To use your phone cnx on the pc. you juste need to install 'pc suite' compatible with your phone model.. connect the phone to the pc.. and start the connection from pc suite.. (you should firstly configure pc suite with your APN. username. and password). after the pc tell you that you are connected.. goto your browser (internet explorer. or opera...) launch it and goto the setting. and select connect through a proxy. and enter there your address proxy. and your port.... then goto the bar url and browse using your trick that you use in your phone..
