Video recording. A new take on nano.

iPod nano now comes with a built-in video camera that lets you spontaneously shoot video wherever you are. Yet it’s still the same ultraportable size.

Genius Mixes. Mix it up. Automatically.

Genius acts as your personal DJ, searching your iTunes library to find songs that go great together, then organizing them into mixes you’ll love. All automatically.

FM radio + Live Pause. A smarter way to radio.

The new built-in FM tuner has two amazing features — iTunes Tagging and Live Pause — that make listening to the radio nothing like listening to the radio.

Fitness. Get down. Shape up.

The new Pedometer included on iPod nano keeps track of your steps. Add a Nike + iPod Sport Kit and your iPod nano can help keep you going.

There will be two versions: 8GB and 16GB.

Nice, unorthodox camera position though...

nice improvements. I never particularly fancied a nano before, but as I carry a separate FM radio (a pen-sized Sony jobby), I might be tempted to switch that to this... hopefully we'll get an FM radio in the next iphone incarnation

I got the 16gb blue nano today... its incredible what they put into this and how small it is, and the radio works great too and I love the pause play.

video is pretty good too but its strange that you can't take still pictures

Looks nice in blue! The screens bigger now and makes it worth having videos playing on that screen. Whats the other gadget next to it?

looks smart, and I am definitely a Sony fan, but apart from the increased capacity this seems to offer similar specs to the nano

unfortunatley I seem to be irrevocabaly hooked on the experience that is "itunes", despite avoiding it like the plague for its first 6 or 7 versions. having everything I need in one place just makes more sense than not

btw, I've discovered that to change favourite radio stations using the new headsets... just double press the middle part (between the + and - volume parts)

Loving the addition of the fm radio. ATM, I'm using a USB key Sony mp3 for the radio alongside the iPhone. Tempted to buy this but I love being able to record FM radio and charging is easy through USB. As well as being a USB key, it's just to practical. Still tempted to buy this.

You can pause but does it let you rewind radio?

Edit

Just read you can scrub back 15 mins which I assume means you can rewind. After the 15 mins are up it probably pushes you away from what you were listening to from the rewinded cache.

yes, you can go back and forth anywhere within what has been buffered.

Thanks Mass. Possibly works like sky+? Where, if your further back than the 15 min cache, it keeps a separate cache around your current position. So of your paused and it's been 30mins, it keeps a cache around the 30 mins as well as the 15 min cache from live radio.

Not everyone like the new nano...

iPod nano 5G camera falls foul of gym blacklists

Apple’s iPod nano 5G has impressed plenty of reviewers (and will likely find favor with even more buyers, too) but gym owners are less enamored. With the arrival of the nano’s video camera, the PMP has found itself on the blacklist for some gym changing rooms, over fears that patrons may use image- and video-capable devices to surreptitiously grab shots of each other.
