Just seen a story about a new type of screen.
According to the article, they have made a phone with this screen in.
Supposed to be slimmer and use less battery power.

I've seen a number of different prototypes of screen, some that harness the power of self luminessence, the same used by those brightly coloured jellyfish in the deep sea.
There is another that can actually be PRINTED on ANY surface (i've seen a working model - still experimental)(think the movie 'red planet') also with the same technique you can have your circuit boards printed onto plastic sheet to make it flexable.

Screens on phones are going to become flexible, they will roll up into a phone that takes on the appearance of a pen.
@Avatar, that "printing" you speak of is how microchips work, layers of printed circuits scaled right down.
