hey everyone well i got a W910i and well the walkman is a good player but the seaarch feature is just horrible, it can barely search by the first letter of the song and you cant find anything with uknown artist, this is really annoying, i have a nokia6210c aswell and the search there is good...finds what im looking for no matter if its the name, album or track...

already happened to me that i had to look like half an hour for a song since i have like 500 on my w910i

any ways to fix this? patches, mods, anything?

thanks

This is an SE Forum, look over functionality is the motto, just appreciate how pretty the UI is.
Seriously though i have the same problem with my K850, i pointed out this type of problem in another thread, think it was E52 vs some Walkman thread, and i was told people dont care for such things by an iPhone user, can you imagine.
Unfortunetly i cant find a fix to it, one of the many reasons i prefer my N81 and its Nokia Music Player since it organises the Music very well and keeps track of what i listen to the most.
What id suggest is plugging your W910 in to a PC and editting the ID3 tags of the Unknown Artist tracks and then creating playlists of the songs you want to listen that day.
The advantages a pretty UI hey. . . . .oh wait there are none.

Exactly, and even worse when running multiple apps in the background whilest playing music, navigating through the pretty UI of the Media Player is a pain in the dam a**! Its very choppy and laggy. I hear even newer SE phones are like this, not as bad but still. Makes me wonder how on earth am i able to run over 6-applications at once on my S60 whilest listening to Music and still be able to navigate so quickly through the Music Player without even a slight lag, yet an SE dumbphone struggles with only its Music Player,it doesnt even have a heavy OS to deal with. I noticed my mates C902 and C905 are better at this than my K850, but both C902 and 905 still lag, especialy when compared to the now 2yearold S60s, eg. 6120c and N81.
