mrjulius has discovered that shrinking C902 shots from 5 MP to 0.7 MP (plus applying a little sharpening as well) makes them look much better as the otherwise obvious defects (noise, NR, sharpening, purple fringing) just disappear like magic.

as you can see there is no magic
compare this two

you can see that the properties of the picture has been edited

The c901 is head and shoulders above the c902 in quality and in the fact that it has Xenon, even though Plank claims the LED is really good. In any case, I did a lowlight comparison between teh c905 and c902 about 8-10 months ago, here are some of those lowlight c902 v c905 shots:

mrjulius|it was called YamahaMX in our country...
@bialyna|xenon are good, but sometimes led has some advantage too eg. for taking some closest photos/macro.

99 times out of 100 Xenon is handier then LED, plus the c901 does have an led as a secondary source as well.

C902 had advantage over lowlight macro.
But I think C901 also performs well in lowlight macro given that the subject isnt reflective/shiny..

Also, there are many ways of reducing xenon reflections, like always take a picture of tilted even surface, (dont let it parallel to the phone)

The smart contrast is also a nice feature, provided you "know" when is the suitable time to use it.

without smart contrast

with smart contrast on.

Looks like smart contrast isn't so smart after all. It should know the suitable contrast since it's supposed to be 'smart' eh? I guess the rule of thumb is if it ain't broken, don't fix it
